June 30 2022 10:45:36     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the overall price of bromine rose first and then fell in June. The average market price at the beginning of the month was 58,000 RMB/ton, and the average market price at the end of the month was 58,400 RMB/ton, a price increase of 0.69% and a year-on-year increase of 26.78%.

On June 28, the bromine commodity index was 204.91, the same as previous day, down 16.42% from the highest point of 245.18 points in the cycle (2021-10-27), and up 247.78% from the lowest point of 58.92 points on October 29, 2014. (Note: The cycle refers to 2011-09-01 to the present)

Analysis review

This month, the price of bromine first rose and then fell, and the overall price rose slightly. On the 29th, the mainstream quotation of bromine in Shandong enterprises was about 58,000-58,500 RMB/ton. The output of bromine enterprises was average, and the manufacturers had a strong willingness to raise prices. However, the downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries had little support for bromine, and the game atmosphere was heavy. The overall purchasing rhythm was weak.

In terms of raw materials: the overall price of sulfur in June fell. The average market price at the beginning of the month was about 4,050 RMB/ton, and the average market price at the end of the month was 3,680 RMB/ton. The price fell by 9.14%, and was 123.94% higher than the same period last year. The sulfur market was running weakly, and the downstream was resistant to the high price of sulfur. Individuals were looking for low-priced sources to buy, and the pressure on the inventory on the market increased. In order to maintain the rhythm of shipments, companies had lowered their quotations, and the downstream market was mainly wait-and-see, and trading purchases were mainly just in need.

Market outlook

The analyst of SunSirs believes that the price of bromine has been stable and weak recently, the increase in output is not as expected, the price of bromine is mostly high, and the downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries of bromine have little support. It is comprehensively expected that the price of bromine will stabilize and consolidate in the short term, depending on the downstream market demand.
