June 02 2022 15:19:48     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

The cost of raw materials continued to support, and the ammonium chloride market continued to rise in May. According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the price of ammonium chloride was around 1,445 RMB/ton at the beginning of May, and the price at the end of the month was 1,527 RMB/ton, an increase of 5.71%.

Analysis review

The price of raw material liquid ammonia rose slightly in May, and the cost side continued to support. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of May 31, the domestic liquid ammonia price was 5,306 RMB/ton, an increase of 4.74% from the price of 5,066 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

The price of urea continued to rise in May, and continued to support ammonium chloride. As of May 31, the domestic price of urea was 3,201 RMB/ton, an increase of 5.09% from the price of 3,046 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

Although demand was gradually entering the off-season, on the one hand, the price of raw materials was high, and the cost support was strong; on the other hand, the operation of the combined alkali industry was less than 80%. In addition, the load of enterprises in some areas was low and the supply of goods was tight. June and July were traditional maintenance seasons, and the supply side was expected to continue to decrease, which promoted the ammonium chloride market to continue to rise at a high level in May.

Market outlook

The ammonium chloride analyst of SunSirs believes that the current cost and supply support of ammonium chloride will continue; on the other hand, the spring ploughing will gradually end, and it is expected that the ammonium chloride market will fluctuate at a high level in June.
