According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, as of May 27, 2022, the ex-factory price of 1.2D*38mm viscose staple fiber in China is 15,060 RMB/ton, an increase of 100 RMB/ton from the beginning of the week, a weekly increase of 0.67% Compared with the beginning of the month, the price increased by 720 RMB/ton, or 5.02%. The average ex-factory price of rayon yarn (30S, ring spinning, first-class products) was 19,100 RMB/ton, the same as last week's price..

Analysis review

This week (May 23-27), the price focus of domestic viscose staple fiber market moved up slightly. At the beginning of the week, the news in the market was calm. The price of viscose staple fiber was generally stable, but the dissolving pulp was still expected to rise. There were relatively sufficient pre-sale orders, and the price of mainstream manufacturers increased by 200-300 RMB/ton in the second half of this week.

Exports of viscose staple fiber have been relatively good recently, and factory inventories have declined. The price of downstream rayon yarn has stabilized, but the transaction has always been normal, and the transaction price has not improved significantly.

Market outlook

At present, the cost-side support of viscose staple fiber is stable, and the export market is relatively good recently. The domestic price of viscose staple fiber is strong, but the price increase of viscose staple fiber in rayon mills is limited, and the transaction is always average. Analysts of SunSirs predict that the price of viscose staple fiber will be stable and strong in the next week, and the price range will be 15,000-15,200 RMB/ton.
