SunSirs: The Market Price of Cyclohexanone Was Mainly Sorted Out at a High Level

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, from May 13th to 20th, the average price of cyclohexanone in the domestic market rose from 11,750 RMB/ton to 11,766 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.14% within the week, and the price increased by 5.06% month-on-month and 6.01% year-on-year.
Analysis review
This week, the domestic cyclohexanone market was sorted at a high level. The raw material pure benzene was rising at a high level, and Sinopec pure benzene listing had been raised by 350 RMB/ton to 9,300 RMB/ton three times. The cost side had risen strongly, and the cost pressure of cyclohexanone had increased. The downstream CPL passively followed up, but the overall load was low and loss-making, the enthusiasm for external procurement was weak, and the shipment of cyclohexanone was not smooth. Under the pressure of cost, the market continued to run.
Raw material pure benzene: The price of pure benzene has risen recently, and the spread between East China and Shandong has widened. The spot transaction in East China was 9,100-9350 RMB/ton, and Shandong was 8,600-8,900 RMB/ton.
Downstream CPL: The CPL market continued to rise. Recently, CPL was mainly driven by cost. The price of upstream pure benzene has been rising continuously. Sinopec pure benzene listing has risen to 9,300 RMB/ton, and the cost pressure of CPL has intensified.
Market outlook
In a short period of time, the supply and demand of cyclohexanone is relatively weak, and cyclohexanone is still dominated by cost. Analysts of cyclohexanone from SunSirs expect that cyclohexanone will be consolidating at a high level in the short term.
