On May 10, the price of viscose staple fiber rose, and some manufacturers increased the price by 300-500 RMB/ton, and the quotations were concentrated at 14,500-15,000 RMB/ton. Some manufacturers did not offer quotations, and production and sales improved, showing an upward trend. The downstream rayon yarn factory increased by about 200 RMB/ton due to the increase in cost, and the transaction was average.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, as of May 10, 2022, the ex-factory quotation of 1.2D*38mm viscose staple fiber in the domestic region was 14,660 RMB/ton, an increase of 220 RMB/ton or 1.52% over the previous day's price. The average ex-factory price of rayon yarn (30S, ring spinning, first-class) was 18,733 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
The market trading atmosphere of viscose staple fiber and rayon yarn has improved. After this round of price increases, analysts of SunSirs expect that the transaction will be completed gradually in the short term. At the same time, it is not ruled out that some viscose staple fiber factories will continue to raise price.
