OX prices fell sharply this week

According to the OX price chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that the price of OX fell sharply this week. As of April 18, the price of OX was 8,200 RMB/ton, which was lower than the price of 8,600 RMB/ton on April 10 at the beginning of the week, down 4.65%. This week, the market of phthalate industry chain continued to decline, and the market of OX fell.

Xylene prices plummeted this week

According to the mixed xylene trend chart of SunSirs it can be seen that the price of mixed xylene fell sharply this week. As of April 18, the price of mixed xylene was 7,140 RMB/ton, compared with the price of 7,480 RMB/ton on April 10 at the beginning of the week, down 4.55%. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine eased, crude oil prices fell from high levels, and mixed xylene fell. This week, the price of mixed xylene fell sharply, the cost of OX decreased, and the downward pressure on OX increased.

Downstream PA prices fluctuated and fell

It can be seen from the price trend of PA in SunSirs that the price of PA fell volatile this week. As of April 18, the price of PA was 8,287.50 RMB/ton, down 2.50% from the 8,500 RMB/ton price of PA on April 10 at the beginning of the week. The price of PA fell this week, the demand for OX weakened, and the downward pressure on OX increased.

Market outlook

The analyst of OX data of SunSirs believes that the price of crude oil fell from a high level, the price of mixed xylene dropped sharply, and the cost of OX dropped; the price of PA in the downstream decreased, the demand was weak, and the downward pressure on PA increased. On the whole, the cost of OX is declining and the demand is weak, and the price of OX is expected to decline weakly in the market outlook.
