SunSirs: ECH Market Rose (January 3-10)

Price trend

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of January 10, the average price of ECH enterprises was 16,566.67 RMB/ton, compared with the price on last Monday (January 3), it increased by 3.54%. Compared with the price on December 1, the price increased 2.69%, and the price fell by 21.86% in a three-month cycle.

Analysis review

The ECH market rose this week. Recently, the raw material propylene was running smoothly after rising, and the glycerin market was still acceptable, and the cost side had certain support. Some enterprises reduced the operating rate, the stockholders mainly maintained long-term contracts and core customers, the market supply was tight, the downstream inquiry and procurement were active, the focus of market discussions had steadily increased, and low-cost sources of goods were hard to find.

Upstream propylene, according to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic propylene (Shandong) market price rose strongly this week (1.3-1.7). The average market price of propylene at the beginning of the week was 7,548 RMB/ton, and the average price at the weekend was 7,850 RMB/ton, an increase of 4%.

Downstream epoxy resin, on January 7, supported by dual raw materials, the liquid epoxy resin market in East China continued to push up, and it was negotiated to 26,800-27,800 RMB/ton. The raw material bisphenol A was running at a high level and stable. Supported by the cost, the transaction of small orders on the market was at a high level, with an offer of 18,450-18,500 RMB/ton. ECH continued to rise, with an increase of 3.33% this week.

Market outlook

The ECH analyst of SunSirs believes that the current cost has little impact. In the short term, there will still be some support from the supply and demand side. It is expected that the ECH market may run at a high level in the short term, and more attention should be paid to market news guidelines.
