At the start of September, magnesium ingots exceeded 30,000 yuan/ton, setting a new record high once again. Due to the fermentation of environmental protection policies in the upstream, the tight market spot is difficult to change in the short term. In terms of transactions, due to the rapid price increase, downstream customers are more cautious in purchasing.
Outlook forecast
Given the current high price of ferrosilicon as a raw material and the impact of environmental protection policies, there are still upward expectations for magnesium prices in the short term.
