SunSirs: China DME Price Fluctuated frequently and Rose in August

In August, the domestic DME market fluctuated frequently, and the overall trend showed a shock rise. At the end of the month, the ex factory quotation of DME in Hebei rose to more than 3,500 yuan / ton, which was higher than that in the same period last year. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of DME in Henan market was 3,512.50 yuan / ton on August 1 and 3,552.50 yuan / ton on August 30. The overall increase in August was 1.14%, with the largest amplitude of 2.08%, an increase of 60.99% compared with the same period last year. In August, the domestic DME market showed an up-down-up trend. At present, most domestic DME prices have risen above 3,500 yuan / ton.
In terms of cost methanol market, at the end of the month, the methanol market in major regions in China mainly rose in a narrow range. On August 27, the main production enterprises in Northwest China raised the ex-factory quotation by about 50 yuan / ton this week, which plays a positive guiding role in the whole domestic methanol market. The crude oil market rebounded, the coal price may be high, and the methanol cost is supported.
At present, the domestic DME market is dominated by a small rise, the price of raw methanol is rising, and the civil liquefied gas market is at a high level, which brings some benefits to the DME market. With the end of the off-season in August, the terminal demand is expected to increase in the later stage. Generally speaking, China DME market is still likely to rise in September.
