SunSirs: Market Supply Decreased and ECH Prices Rose

According to the data of SunSirs’ bulk list, as of July 8th, the average price of ECH companies was 13,466.67 RMB/ton, an increase of 3.06% compared with the price on July 1, and an increase of 2.02% compared with the price on June 1.

Analysis review

The ECH market fluctuated in June, showing a downward trend overall, with a monthly decline of 1.01%. Entering July, the market for ECH is on the rise. At present, some installations have been parked for maintenance, the spot supply in the market has decreased, the mentality in the market is good, the holders are reluctant to sell at low prices, the spot negotiated prices in the market have risen, the market supply has tightened, and with the support of the buying mentality, the enthusiasm of downstream purchases has increased.

Upstream propylene, according to data from SunSirs’ bulk list, as of July 7, the reference price of propylene was 7,818.55 RMB/ton, which was a decrease of 0.17% compared with July 1 (7,832.18 RMB/ton). At present, there is no major pressure on the supply side, the demand side performance is acceptable, and the price is mainly stable.

For downstream epoxy resins, on July 7, the focus of liquid epoxy resin negotiations in East China moved upward, and mainstream negotiations in the local market offered 26,000-26,500 RMB/ton. The price of raw materials rose, and the focus of market discussions moved up.

Market outlook

The ECH analyst of SunSirs believes that, on the whole, the recent decrease in the supply of ECH has supported the market. Under the situation of tight spot, the holders have a strong mentality and are willing to push up, the market buying momentum has increased. It is expected that the ECH market may move upward in the short term.
