July 07 2021 14:22:52     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the ammonium chloride market continued to rise in June. The price at the beginning of the month was around 760 RMB/ton, and the price at the end of the month was around 830 RMB/ton, an overall increase of 9.21%.

Analysis review

In June, the overall operating rate of ammonium chloride enterprises was around 75%, the supply of ammonium chloride was stable, and manufacturers had no pressure on shipments; in June, the overall operating rate of downstream compound fertilizers dropped to around 30-40%, and the support for ammonium chloride was weak. According to SunSirs, as of June 30, 2021, the price of premium ammonium chloride for agricultural use in Huai'an Bolian Trading was stable, and the price of dry ammonium chloride was 900 RMB/ton.

The raw material liquid ammonia rose sharply, coupled with the increase in the export volume of the urea market in May, and the price rose again in mid-to-late June due to the news of India's urea bidding, all of which formed strong support for ammonium chloride. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of June 30, the domestic liquid ammonia price was 4,433 RMB/ton, which was an overall increase of 4.31% compared with the price of 4,250 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month; As of June 30, the domestic price of urea was 2,800 RMB/ton, an overall increase of 16.51% from the price of 2,403 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

Market outlook

The ammonium chloride analyst of SunSirs believes that although the operating rate of Hou's is not low, the cost of ammonium chloride is relatively strong. It is expected that ammonium chloride will remain strong in the short term; but in the medium term, as the agricultural demand season ends, the price of agricultural materials will fall to a certain extent, and the price of ammonium chloride may fall to a certain extent in the later period.
