June 08 2021 13:45:50     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

The hydrogenated benzene commodity index was 84.71 on June 6, which was the same as previous day. It was 16.96% lower than the highest point in the cycle of 102.01 points (2014-01-09), and 182.46% higher than the lowest point of 29.99 points on April 07, 2020. . (Note: Period refers to 2013-12-01 to present).

This week (May 31 to June 4) the market price of hydrogenated benzene in Shandong increased, starting at 7,350 RMB/ton the beginning of the week, and at 7,600 RMB/ton on weekends, up 250 RMB/ton.

On June 4, 2021, the listing price of Sinopec's pure benzene was raised by 300 RMB/ton to 7,900 RMB/ton, of which Qilu Petrochemical implemented 7,850 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

This week, the pure benzene market stopped falling and rebounded. The styrene price rebounded this week due to the positive international market. The futures market first rebounded and the supply side benefited from the suspension of the spot market device. The overall market performed well. The upstream pure benzene began to pick up from Tuesday, and the hydrogenated benzene market followed the rise.

Market outlook

In the future, SunSirs believes that the current market price of pure benzene is high, and the downstream market is weakly rising, and the support for pure benzene is limited. It is expected that the pure benzene industry chain will remain high and fluctuate in the short term.
