According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the price of chloroform was firm this week (4.19-4.23), and it was stable at 4,100 RMB/ton on Wednesday.
Analysis review
This week, the methane chloride plant in Shandong Province was slightly improved. According to SunSirs, the Jinling Dongying plant is in full load operation after the overhaul, the Dongyue chemical's methane chloride plant is in normal operation after the overhaul, the Jinmao chemical's methane chloride plant is in parking, and the construction in Luxi is about 90%.
Although the price of methanol rose slightly, the price of liquid chlorine fell sharply, and the cost side was mainly negative. According to SunSirs, as of April 23, the price of methanol was 2,510 RMB/ton, up 2.87% from 2,440 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week; As of April 23, the mainstream ex factory price of liquid chlorine for tank cars in Shandong Province was about 1,400 RMB/ton, down 26.3% from 1,900 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week.
Finally, foreign trade orders of downstream refrigerants were stable this week, and the increase of domestic trade started mainly supported the demand for chloroform. It is understood that at present, Dongyue fluorosilicone company is operating at full capacity.
Market outlook
According to the methane chloride data of SunSirs, although the raw material price is falling and the cost is obviously bad, the inventory pressure of chloroform production enterprises in Shandong is not big, and the downstream refrigerants still have support for chloroform, so it is expected that the price of chloroform will remain stable in the short term.
