SunSirs: China EPS Market is still Weak and Prices are still Falling

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of EPS common material was 10,950 RMB/ ton on March 15, and 10,650 RMB/ ton on March 19 at the end of last week, up 17.51% compared with the same period last year.
As of March 18, styrene spot in Jiangsu was about 8,650 RMB/ ton, down 555 RMB/ ton or 6.03% compared with the closing price of 9,205 RMB/ ton on March 11. China EPS market shipment is flat, downstream is mainly purchasing by need, some businesses are waiting for the opportunity to fill the position.
The ex-factory price of EPS fell sharply, and the inventory pressure of most EPS factories was obvious. As of March 18, Jiangyin Jianlong's ordinary material was 10,400 RMB/ ton, down 500 RMB/ ton, down 4.59% on a month on month basis, and fuel was 10,700 RMB/ ton, down 500 RMB/ ton, down 4.46% on a month on month basis.
At present, the demand for packaging and sheet materials is increasing slowly, and the cost pressure is obvious. It is expected that China EPS market will be weak this week.
