Taking sulfuric acid rutile titanium dioxide, which has a large volume in the domestic market, as an example, according to data from SunSirs's bulk list, the price of titanium dioxide has risen this month. At the beginning of the month, the average domestic titanium dioxide price was 16,666.67 RMB/ton, and the average price at the end of the month was 17,133.33 RMB/ton. The price increased by 2.8% within the month.

Analysis review

The market price of titanium dioxide has increased this month. Since the end of December, nearly 20 manufacturers, including Lomon Baili, CITIC Titanium, Anada, and Panzhihua Haifengxin, have announced the increase, with an increase of 500-1,000 RMB/ton, most of which increased 500 RMB/ton. Orders in the foreign trade export market were good, the price of raw titanium concentrate rose slightly. On January 28, Panzhihua Titanium Technology once again announced that the domestic trade price of the company's rutile titanium dioxide was increased by 1,000 RMB/ton, and the foreign trade price was increased by 150 US dollars/ton. At present, the market price of titanium dioxide is flexibly rising, and the current market is stabilized by "rising with stability", and the overall market confidence is good. The domestic ex-factory price of rutile titanium dioxide including tax is 16,800-18,000 RMB/ton, and the ex-factory price of anatase titanium dioxide including tax is 13,500-16,000 RMB/ton.

In terms of raw materials, the price of titanium concentrate in Panxi region rose slightly this week. The supply side of titanium concentrate is tight as a whole. Inquiries in the trading market have increased recently, and the latest real order prices have gradually increased. As of the 28th, the price of 46,10 titanium ore from small and medium-sized manufacturers was 1,950-1,980 RMB/ton; the price of 47,20 ore was around 2,100 RMB/ton, and the price of 38,42 ore excluding tax was 1,330-1,350 RMB/ton. In the short term, the price of titanium concentrate continues to run at a high level, real orders will be negotiated.

According to the latest statistics from the Titanium Dioxide Sub-center of the Chemical Industry Productivity Promotion Center and the Secretariat of the Titanium Dioxide Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, in 2020, the comprehensive output of various titanium dioxide and related products from all 42 full-process titanium dioxide manufacturers in the country was 3.512 million tons, an increase of 330,000 tons over the previous year, an increase of 10.39%.

According to statistics provided by the General Administration of Customs, the cumulative export of titanium dioxide from January to December 2020 is about 1.2148 million tons, an increase of about 211.3 million tons over the whole year of 2019, and a year-on-year increase of 21.06%. The cumulative import volume of titanium dioxide from January to December 2020 is approximately 172,400 tons, an increase of approximately 4,784 tons over the entire year of 2019, a year-on-year increase of 2.85%.

Market outlook
