[1] The price of calcium carbide rises by 43.37% in 2020

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the ex-factory price of calcium carbide in Northwest China fluctuated to rise in 2020. As of December 30, the average ex-factory price of calcium carbide's mainstream manufacturers was 3,890.00 RMB/ton. Compared with the 2,713.33 RMB/ton quoted at the beginning of the year, the quotation increased by 1,176.67 RMB/ton, an increase of 43.37%.

[2] The price of calcium carbide in Northwest China fluctuated and fell 2.46% in the first quarter

In the first quarter of 2020, the calcium carbide market rose first and then fell. The ex-factory price of calcium carbide rose from 2,713.33 RMB/ton on January 1 to 2,890.00 RMB/ton on February 20, an increase of 176.67 RMB/ton, an increase of 6.51%; It fell to 2,646.67 RMB/ton on March 31, and the price fell by 243.33 RMB/ton, a decrease of 8.42%. On the whole, the market for calcium carbide fell slightly in the first quarter, down 2.46%.

[3] The price of calcium carbide in Northwest China fell 0.25% in the second quarter  

In the second quarter, the calcium carbide market first fell, then rose, and finally stabilized. The ex-factory price first fell from 2,646.67 RMB/ton on April 1 to 2,316.67 RMB/ton on April 23. The quoted price dropped by 330 RMB/ton, a decrease of 12.47%; Then it rose to 2,690.00 RMB/ton on June 08, an increase of 373.33 RMB/ton, an increase of 16.11%; finally, the price was maintained at about 2,670 RMB/ton until the end of the quarter. On the whole, the market for calcium carbide fell sharply in the second quarter, with a drop of 0.25%.

[4] The price of calcium carbide in Northwest China in the third quarter rose 5.40%

The market for calcium carbide in the third quarter first fell and then rose. The ex-factory price of calcium carbide first dropped from 2,577.50 RMB/ton on July 1 to 2,402.5 RMB/ton on July 13, down by 175.00 RMB/ton, or 6.79%; and then rose to 2,740.00 RMB/ton on August 24, the quotation rose by 337.50 RMB/ton, an increase of 14.05%. Finally, the price was maintained at about 2,720 RMB/ton until the end of the quarter. On the whole, the market for calcium carbide rose slightly in the third quarter by 5.40%.

[5] The price of calcium carbide in Northwest China rose 43.19% in the fourth quarter

The calcium carbide market continued to rise sharply in the fourth quarter. The ex-factory price of calcium carbide rose from 2,716.67 RMB/ton on October 1 to 4,183.33 RMB/ton on December 16, and the quotation increased by 1,466.66 RMB/ton, an increase of 53.99%; then it began to decline slightly at the end of the quarter, on December 30,  the average price of calcium carbide was 3,890.00 RMB/ton. On the whole, the calcium carbide market rose sharply in the fourth quarter, an increase of 43.19%, and began to decline slightly at the end of the quarter.

[6] The highest monthly increase is 28.64%

The ex-factory price of calcium carbide in November 2020 rose from 2,863.33 RMB/ton on November 1 to 3,683.33 RMB/ton on November 30, an increase of 820.00 RMB/ton, the largest monthly increase in 2020, an increase of 28.64%.

[7] The largest monthly decline of 12.09%

The factory price of calcium carbide in April 2020 dropped from 2,646.67 RMB/ton on April 1 to 2326.67 RMB/ton on April 30. The price dropped by 320.00 RMB/ton, the largest monthly decline, with a decrease of 12.09%.

[8] The highest price difference of calcium carbide in 2020 is 1,850.00 RMB/ton

On April 2, 2020, the average ex-factory price of calcium carbide was 2,333.33 RMB/ton, the lowest point of this year's calcium carbide quotation. On December 16, 2020, the average ex-factory price of calcium carbide was 4,183.33 RMB/ton, which was the highest price of calcium carbide this year. Compared with the lowest price, the price difference of calcium carbide was 1,850.00 RMB/ton.
