According to the monitoring of SunSIrs, the glass price rose last week, with an average price of 24.95 RMB/ ㎡, up 2.34%.

According to the data of Industry Association, on December 11, 2020, the utilization rate of glass production capacity was 70.83%, up 0.82% month on month and 1.25% on last year; after excluding excess capacity, the glass capacity utilization rate was 84.03%, up 0.98% month on month and 1.36% year on year. The glass production capacity was 979.32 million heavy containers, 11.4 million more than last week, and 43.02 million more than last year. On December 11, 2020, the industry's inventory of 27.12 million heavy containers increased -510.000 heavy containers compared with last week and -11.7 million heavy containers compared with last year. The number of weekend inventory days was 10.11 days, increased by -0.31 days month on month, and increased by -5.03 days compared with last week.

In terms of raw material soda ash, according to the monitoring of SunSIrs, the price of light soda ash decreased in the last week, with the average price of 1,466 RMB/ ton at the end of last week, and the price dropped by 1.74% within the week. The average price of heavy soda ash was 1,752 RMB/ ton. Last week, the domestic soda ash downstream demand is general, and the overall downstream manufacturers are cautious. It is expected that the price of China soda ash will be stable temporarily.

According to SunSirs, glass prices rose last week, glass enterprises overall inventory was low. In the southern region, downstream processing enterprises have better orders, while foreign trade export orders have maintained a good situation. On the whole, procurement is more positive. Due to the influence of northern weather factors, the downstream rush orders weakened. In the upstream, the price of petroleum coke and soda ash has not been reduced much, and the price of LNG has increased more. In the short term, China glass market is still stable operation, supplemented by a small rise.
