SunSirs: Domestic Butadiene Market Forecast after National Day

Before the National Day holiday, the domestic butadiene market continued to be strong. According to the sample data monitored by the business agency, the domestic butadiene market price was 5,612 RMB/ton on September 1, and the domestic butadiene market price as of September 30 was 6,338 yuan / ton, a 12.94% increase in September, the price fell 45.27% year-on-year. In terms of enterprises, the supply price of butadiene from Sinopec’s sales companies increased by 1,100 RMB/ton to 6,500 RMB/ton from the previous month; Fushun Petrochemical restarted its export sales in mid-to-late September, and a total of 1,860 tons of supply were sold through online auctions within the month. In terms of the market, as of the end of the month, the butadiene market in Shandong was weak and the spot trading in the market was limited. The dealers' offer was maintained at around 6,300 RMB/ton, and real orders were negotiated; the butadiene market in East China was mainly cautious and wait-and-see , Jiangyin's self-provided price was about 6,200-6,400 RMB/ton.  

External disk: As of the close of October 1, the price of Asian butadiene external disk was stable: FOB Korea closed at 795-805 US dollars/ton, CFR China closed at 795-805 US dollars/ton. European butadiene external disk prices were stable: FOB Rotterdam closed at 570-580 US dollars/ton; FD Northwest Europe closed at 445-455 euros/ton.

Butadiene prices are still expected to rise in external disks, and domestic manufacturers' supply prices are still expected to rise, which will drive traders to offer higher prices and it is difficult to find low-priced sources in the market.
