The sulfur commodity index on July 14 was 34.20, which was 1.65 points lower than previous day, 67.06% lower than 103.84 points (2011-11-02), and 32.61% higher than 25.79 points, the lowest point on February 24, 2020. (Note: period refers to 2011-09-01 to now)
Analysis review
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on July 14, the average price of sulfur production in East China was 623.33 RMB/ton, a single-day decline of 4.59%. Domestic refineries adjusted their quotations according to their own shipments. On the 14th, Sinopec East China increased the price of liquid sulfur by 30 RMB/ton, and the quotation was 560-680 RMB/ton; Sinopec North China's offer of solid-liquid sulfur was temporarily stable; the price of solid sulfur in Sinopec's Shandong area was reduced by RMB 40-50/ton, and the quotation was at RMB 620/ton. Liquid sulfur was reduced by RMB 20/ton, and the quotation was in the range of RMB 570-620/ton.
Market outlook
At present, the market of the port market is weak, and the domestic sulphur market offers up and down. The market players are mostly cautious and wait-and-see. The downstream phosphate fertilizer demand is off-season and the performance is not good. Under the market's lack of news guidance, the sulphur market may be consolidated in the later period.
