March 09 2020 13:39:49     SunSIrs (John)

Price trend

According to the data of SunSirs, the domestic bromine market is still running steadily this week, and the average bromine price has remained at around 30,277 RMB/ton, a sharp drop of 13.49% compared with the same period last year.

Analysis review

Product: Due to the postponement of the construction period in the domestic bromine market this week, the overall market start is still at a low level. The company's inventory has been depleted and the market supply is tight. However, the downstream flame retardant and other markets have just been in poor demand, and the market supply and demand are weak. At present, mainstream enterprises are quoting around 29,000-30,000 RMB/ton.

Industrial chain: The domestic bromine upstream market was mixed this week, and market construction has not yet fully recovered. Sulfur is currently up 19.08% and is currently around 603 RMB/ton; sulfuric acid is down 4.025% within the week and is currently around 300 RMB/ton; Caustic soda is operating steadily and is currently around 602 RMB/ton; soda ash is up 1.93% during the week and is around 1,583 RMB/ton. On the downstream side, the flame retardant market performance is relatively weak, pharmaceutical and agricultural intermediates and other industries are on the low side, the overall demand has just been weak, and supply and demand are weak, which has a negative impact on bromine prices.

Market outlook

Brokerage industry analysts of SunSirs believe that the current domestic bromine market is basically in a recession period, the spot supply is insufficient, the downstream demand is poor, and the overall market support is insufficient. It is expected to maintain a stable operation in the short term. After the two sessions and the epidemic, the market will usher in a turnaround.
