SunSirs: Trading of Pure Benzene Is Restricted and Prices Continue to Fall (February 1-28)

According to the data of SunSirs, pure benzene continued to fall this month, a monthly decline of 6.76%. On February 1, the pure benzene was listed at 5,650-5,800 RMB/ton, and on February 28, the pure benzene was listed at 5,100-5,500 RMB/ton. The highest price of pure benzene this month appeared on February 1, the highest price was 5,650-5,800 RMB/ton.

 

Analysis review   

In terms of crude oil: In February, the overall international oil price showed a downward trend, and the downward trend was fierce. As of February 28, WTI oil prices were down 13.04% from the previous month, and Brent oil prices were down 10.91% from the previous month.

Product: Affected by public events, crude oil and pure benzene in the outer disk fell sharply. Domestic: The starting load of pure benzene is low and the demand is limited; the transportation is relatively limited, and the overall trading atmosphere of the market is not active.

Downstream: Styrene fell in shock this month, with the highest price of 7,233.33 RMB/ton, the lowest price of 6,566.67 RMB/ton, and the maximum price difference of 6,66.66 RMB/ton, a monthly drop of 7.37%.

In February, the aniline plant had a lot of parking and maintenance, and the supply was tight. Overall, it rose by 2.56% compared with the end of last month.

 

Market outlook

Crude oil: In the later stage, the oil price mainly focuses on the progress of social public event control and OPEC's promotion of production reduction.

Domestic and foreign markets: the Northeast large-scale refineries have been restarted, the later load will gradually increase, the supply pressure will further increase, and the short-term market is difficult to improve significantly.

Overall, the short-term pure benzene operation is still weak. Market concerns the resumption of downstream.
