Affected by the rising crude oil market, the MTBE market continued the rising trend last week, and the ex factory quotation of some enterprises increased by about 150-200 RMB/ ton. At the same time, domestic export orders increased, so the market supply was tight, and the price rose.

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the MTBE price remained at 7,200 RMB/ ton on November 4 and 7,260 RMB/ ton on November 11, with a price increase of 0.83% during the cycle, stable month on month, 14.69% year-on-year.

In terms of upstream products and methanol, SunSirs monitored that the price of domestic methanol in East China ports fluctuated downward. At the beginning of the week, it was 2,864 RMB/ ton, and as of 10:00 a.m. on November 11, it was 2,759 RMB/ ton. The price fell 3.66% during the cycle. At present, the domestic methanol market is sorted out after the decline, and is expected to rebound narrowly.

For enterprises, Shandong Chengtai New Material MTBE was raised by 100 RMB/ ton, and the quotation was 7,300 RMB/ ton. The MTBE quotation of Shi Dashenghua was increased by 50 RMB/ ton to 7,250 RMB/ ton. Shandong Shenchi Chemical Co., Ltd. MTBE quoted 7,200 RMB/ ton. Lihua Yilijin Petrochemical raised MTBE by 50 RMB/ ton, and offered 7,250 RMB/ ton. Dongming Qianhai Chemical's MTBE quotation is 7,300 RMB/ ton.

In terms of external market, as of the closing of November 10, the closing price of the Asian MTBE market had decreased by 23.50 dollars/ton compared with the previous trading day, and FOB Singapore closed at 958.99-960.99 dollars/ton. The closing price of the European MTBE market rose by 1.00 dollars/ton from the previous trading day, and FOB ARA closed at 1,072.99-1,073.49 dollars/ton. The closing price of the US MTBE market rose by 7.71 dollars/ton compared with the previous trading day, and the FOB Gulf price closed at 1,191.41-1,191.76 dollars/ton (335.61-335.71 cents/gallon).

The market supply is tight. SunSirs MTBE analysts believe that China domestic MTBE market may still rise in the short term.
