According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of June 29, the average price of domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide of enterprises was 473,333.34 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.16% compared with the price on June 1, a decline of 1.11% in a three-month cycle, and an increase of 427.88% compared with the same period last year.

Analysis review

The domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide market rose slightly in June. In the first half of the month, the price of upstream spodumene was high, and the price of upstream lithium carbonate increased slightly. The support for the lithium hydroxide market increased, the market supply increased, and the enthusiasm for downstream inquiries increased slightly. The market atmosphere was acceptable. The lithium hydroxide market was running on a wait-and-see basis, and the market was stable and rising. In the second half of the month, the price of upstream lithium carbonate rose slightly, which supported the price-preserving mentality of manufacturers. The supply side was mainly stable, and the downstream was mainly digesting inventory, and the purchasing demand performance was average. In late June, the demand for high nickel was low, the enthusiasm for inquiries and purchases in the market was weakened, the market transaction atmosphere was flat, and the price of lithium hydroxide remained stable.

Upstream lithium carbonate, according to the price monitoring of SunSirs, the price of lithium carbonate rose steadily after stabilizing in June 2022. On June 29, the average price of industrial grade lithium carbonate in East China was 459,000 RMB/ton, which was 1.77% higher than the average price at the beginning of the month (the average price of industrial grade lithium carbonate in East China was 451,000 RMB/ton on June 1). On June 29, the average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate in East China was 478,000 RMB/ton, which was 1.49% higher than the average price at the beginning of the month (the average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate in East China was 471,000 RMB/ton on June 1).

Market outlook
