According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on June 8, the average price of sulfur in East China was 3,973.33 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.42% from previous day.

Analysis review

Some domestic refinery units were still under maintenance, corporate inventories were low, and quotations were high and firm. The downstream sulfuric acid market was weak, and the demand for sulfur purchase was weakening; the ammonium phosphate market was temporarily stable, and the purchase was mainly just in need.

The sulfur market was running at a high level, and there was resistance to the high price of sulfur in the downstream. In order to maintain the rhythm of shipments, individual refineries lowered their quotations slightly. The price of solid sulfur was lowered by 30 RMB/ton, and the price of liquid sulfur was lowered by 50-60 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

In the short term, the sulfur market will wait and see and run, and pay attention to the downstream follow-up situation.
