SunSirs: Downstream start-up low ,PC market fell
May 24 2022 10:25:35()

Price trend

According to the bulk list data of b SunSirs, the domestic PC market fell last week, and the spot prices of various brands decreased. As of May 23, the reference offer of PC sample enterprises of business society was about 21833.33 RMB/ton, up or down - 0.15% compared with the average price at the beginning of the month.

Cause analysis

Industrial chain: upstream, the domestic bisphenol a market was weak and volatile last week. Although the far upstream crude oil continues to be affected by the tense situation between Russia and Ukraine and the market is strong, the domestic spot supply has increased. Superimposed with weak downstream demand and poor on-site trading, bisphenol a market is expected to continue the weak market.

The upstream bisphenol a market is weak, reducing the cost side support of PC. In terms of industry load, recently, the load of domestic PC enterprises generally runs sideways, and the supply side does not support the spot price strongly. In terms of downstream demand, the operating rate of terminal enterprises is limited due to various factors, and the goods taking situation is poor. The superimposed health events still have an impact on some parts of East China, and some transportation is still affected by them and it is difficult to increase the volume. Small orders in the venue mainly take goods, buyers' mentality of buying up or not buying down spreads, merchants' confidence is not strong, and offer to make profits on the market.

Future forecast

SunSirs believe that the domestic PC market fell last week, the upstream bisphenol a market weakened, and the cost side's support effect on PC weakened. In terms of supply, the on-site supply is abundant, in terms of demand, the spot trading is relatively light, and the actual trading volume on the floor is insufficient. It is expected that the spot price may continue to be weak in the short term.
