Analysis review

Glass spot market prices fell this week. The market center of gravity in the Shahe region of North China was weak, production and sales continued to be weak, traders were flexible in shipments mainly, and downstream processing plants just purchased on demand. The production and sales of enterprises in East China weakened, and downstream processing enterprises were operating at a low rate, and they were cautious in purchasing goods. The overall production and sales in Central China were average, the glass market price wass temporarily stable, and traders were flexible in their shipments. The spot market of glass in South China was running steadily, and the downstream just purchased on demand mainly. Shipping was acceptable in the northwest region, mainly on-demand purchases. The glass market in the northwest region had a general trend, and shipments were acceptable. Inventories in the Northeast were little changed.

In terms of soda ash, on February 25, the market of soda ash in East China was stable with small changes. The mainstream price in the market was about 2,400-2,700 RMB/ton. The downstream had a cautious wait-and-see mentality and was resistant to the high price of soda ash. It is comprehensively expected that the price of soda ash will be sorted out.

In terms of liquefied natural gas, according to the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, the average price of the domestic liquefied natural gas market on February 24 was 7,800 RMB/ton, down 3.58% from the previous day and up 165.31% year-on-year. The early surge was basically in place. As the weather warmed up and downstream demand decreased, the domestic liquid price began to decline, and the imported gas still maintained a rising trend. It is expected that the domestic LNG market will weaken in the short term.

Market outlook

Glass spot market prices fell this week. Upstream soda ash remained stable, liquefied natural gas prices fell, and raw material prices were weak to support the glass market. It is expected that the glass spot market will continue to run weak in the short term.
