Analysis review

It can be seen from the data monitoring chart of SunSirs that after the Spring Festival, the domestic n-butanol market in Shandong has ushered in a sharp rise. On February 9, the n-butanol market rose to a high point, and the average price in Shandong referred to 11,933 RMB/ton. Under the high price, the downstream procurement slowed down, and the resistance to the high price gradually rose, and the demand support weakened. From the 10th, the n-butanol market was weak and declined. Entering this week, on the 14th and 15th, the n-butanol market in Shandong continued to decline sharply. The n-butanol factory lowered the ex-factory price of n-butanol, with a cumulative reduction of 500-1,000 RMB/ton in two days. The ex-factory price of n-butanol in Shandong fell to around 10,500-10,800 RMB/ton, with an average price of 10,600 RMB/ton, down 7.56% this week. At present, the n-butanol market transaction is light, and the demand is cautious.

In terms of upstream propylene, after the Spring Festival, the domestic propylene market in Shandong first rose and then fell. Entering this week, the domestic propylene market in Shandong continued to decline. According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, on February 14, the reference price of propylene was 8,130.60 RMB/ton, compared with the price on February 1 (7,750.80 RMB/ton), an increase of 4.9%.

Market outlook

At present, the downstream demand for n-butanol is average, and the demand-side support is limited. The n-butanol data engineer of SunSirs believes that in the short term, the n-butanol market in Shandong will be mainly consolidated to run, and more attention should be paid to the changes in the supply and demand side.
