SunSirs: Propylene Stopped Falling and Rose Slightly This Week (December 20-24)
December 27 2021 14:15:12SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic propylene (Shandong) market price stopped falling and rose this week. The market price was 7,425 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week, and the average weekend price was 7,427 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.02%.

Analysis review

According to the price chart of SunSirs, the price of propylene (Shandong) remained stable this week, and individual factories adjusted slightly. As of Friday, the price of propylene on the Shandong market was 7,400-7,450 RMB/ton, basically the same as last weekend's price. The purchase of raw materials from downstream factories was mostly based on rigid demand, and the market had a strong wait-and-see sentiment. The overall demand for propylene was average. On the supply side, there was ample supply of goods on the market, and enterprises were under pressure to sell goods.

Upstream: Except for crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas, methanol, and propane all fell to varying degrees, and cost support was weak.

Downstream: Some downstream products had risen and some had fallen, but near the end of the year, some products had shutdown plans, and demand may tighten.

Market outlook

The propylene analyst of SunSirs believes that the current propylene market is in a deadlock and the outlook for market demand is expected to be general. It is expected that propylene will fluctuate and fall in the short term.
