According to the data from SunSirs’ bulk list, as of July 29, the average price of ECH from manufactures was 13,316.67 RMB/ton, a decrease of 9.41% compared with the price at the beginning of the week, an increase of 1.91% compared with the price at the beginning of the month and a decrease of 11.62% in a three-month cycle.

Analysis review

This week, the ECH market was weak, the overall market demand was not performing well, the market attitude was negative, the downstream was mainly cautious and wait-and-see, the purchase intention was not high, the industry's shipment wa not smooth, the low-price supply on the market d to appear, and the market was weakly adjusted.

Upstream propylene, according to data from SunSirs’ bulk list, the domestic propylene (Shandong) market did not change much recently (7.26-7.28). The average market price on Monday was 7,824 RMB/ton, and the average price on Wednesday was 7,822.18 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.02%.

For downstream epoxy resins, as of July 27, the liquid epoxy resin market in East China was down as a whole, and high-end offers declined significantly. The mainstream negotiating offer in the local market was 31,500-32,000 RMB/ton (ex-factory price in barrels).

Market outlook

According to the ECH analyst of SunSirs, the current market weakness has not improved significantly, and the company’s shipments are under pressure, but under the support of the cost side, it is expected that in the short term, the ECH market may be weak and wait-and-see.
