Price trend

According to data from SunSirs’ bulk list, the average domestic liquid CPL price was 13,800 RMB/ton on June 21, and the average domestic liquid CPL price was 13,900 RMB/ton on June 27. CPL prices rose 0.72% this week.

Analysis review

As of June 27, Nanjing Oriental’s CPL liquid price was 14,400 RMB/ton, the 400,000-ton/year plant was operating normally, and the CPL plant was operating normally. The price of Sinopec CPL liquid was 14,100 RMB/ton. Baling Hengyi's CPL liquid price was 14,100 RMB/ton, and the 450,000-ton/year plant started up normally. Baling Petrochemical’s CPL liquid price was 14,100 RMB/ton, and the 300,000-ton/year plant started up normally. Shandong Luxi Chemical's CPL liquid price was 13,700 RMB/ton, and the manufacturer's production capacity was 300,000-ton/year. The actual transaction price could be discussed.

The price of raw material pure benzene continued to rise this week. On June 20, the price of pure benzene was 7,603-7,800 RMB/ton (average price of 7,750 RMB/ton), and on Sunday (June 27) the price of pure benzene was 8,050-8,150 RMB/ton (average price of 8,120 RMB/ton), the average price increased by 370 RMB/ton compared with last week, an increase of 4.77%; compared with the same period last year, the price increased by 130.68%.

Market outlook

The CPL analyst of SunSirs believes that because the raw material pure benzene was affected by the decrease in supply, the price rose accordingly, the cost support was favorable. Some CPL companies conducted equipment maintenance, the supply was relatively tight, and the demand of downstream PA6 companies was acceptable. It is expected that CPL may continue to rise in the short term.
