Magnesium market trend

On February 20, 2021, the ex factory cash price including tax of magnesium ingots (99.9%, non pickling, simple packaging) in the main domestic production areas moved up slightly compared with that before the year, with the overall range of 14300-14500 yuan / ton, mainly through real order negotiation.

The specific price range of each region 

In fugu area, the ex factory spot exchange including tax is 14300-14400 yuan / ton; in Taiyuan area, it is 14400-14500 yuan / ton; in Wenxi area, it is 14500-14600 yuan / ton; in Ningxia area, it is 14300-14450 yuan / ton.

Magnesium ingot is original magnesium ingot according to national standard (GB / t3499-2011); non pickling, no wooden pallet and non payment acceptance price, mainly based on single negotiation.

According to data from SunSirs, the magnesium ingot market rebounded slightly after the return of the year, and mainstream quotations have risen. The current quotations in the main producing areas are basically above 14,300 yuan/ton.

It is reported that the magnesium ingot market has improved in the past years, which is reflected in the pre-sale of orders by mainstream manufacturers, and the price has also begun to stabilize in late January.

After the year, the magnesium ingot market will rise with the recovery of upstream and downstream operating rates, and the fundamentals of magnesium ingot demand will be effectively improved. It is expected that the downstream market will fully recover next week. Magnesium demand includes demand for stocking, and there will be a wave of rise. In the near future, magnesium ingot prices trend is improving.
