SunSirs: Positive Increased, CPL Rose Strongly (November 9-13)
November 17 2020 13:15:18SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to data from SunSirs’ bulk list, the domestic CPL price has risen recently. The average ex-factory price of CPL on November 9 was 9,833 RMB/ton, and the average ex-factory price on November 13 was 10,000 RMB/ton. The price increased by 1.69% this week.

Analysis review

This week, the price of CPL rose strongly due to the increase in raw material pure benzene and the tight supply. As of November 13, Fujian Tianchen Yaolong's CPL liquid price was 10,700 RMB/ton in cash, and the factory has a production capacity of 300,000-ton/year. The actual transaction could be discussed. The price of Nanjing Orient’s CPL liquid was 10,700 RMB/ton. The 400,000-ton/year plant was operating normally and the CPL plant was operating normally. The price of Sinopec CPL liquid was 10,800 RMB/ton. Baling Hengyi's CPL liquid price was 10,800 RMB/ton, and the 450,000-ton/year plant was in normal operation and delivered by acceptance. Baling Petrochemical’s CPL liquid price was 10,800 RMB/ton, and the 300,000-ton/year plant started normally and was delivered by acceptance.

Driven by the strong rise of downstream styrene, coupled with the strong support of crude oil and wide-ranging external disks, the price of raw material pure benzene continued to rise this week. Sinopec's pure benzene price was raised twice this week, raising a total of 250 RMB/ton to 4,000 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

The CPL analyst of SunSirs believes that the price of CPL has been raised due to the increase in raw material pure benzene, the cost is favorable, and the supply is relatively tight. In the later period, some companies still have maintenance plans and the supply situation may still be tight. It is expected that the CPL market will continue to rise in the short term.
