Recently, the acrylic acid market was weakly operating. According to the data of SunSirs’ bulk list, as of October 27, the average price of acrylic acid in East China was 10,566.67 RMB/ton, a 0.31% drop compared with last Tuesday (October 20) and an increase of 9.31% compared with September 27.

Analysis review   

At present, the price of raw material propylene has fallen, cost support has weakened, the enthusiasm for downstream inquiries is not high, transactions are limited, and the market atmosphere is weak.

Upstream propylene, on October 26, the market price of propylene in Shandong continued to decline. According to SunSirs’ data, since October 1st, the price of propylene has generally remained stable. The prices of some companies have risen and fallen slightly. Propylene prices were generally stable this week. On Friday, only a few companies' prices fell slightly. Most companies continued to hold steady, but fell by about 200 RMB/ton from 17 to 19. From the 20th to the 23rd, the price of propylene went up and down slightly. On the weekend (October 24th and 25th), the propylene price declined again, and it went down by 200 RMB/ton on the 26th. The market transaction was between 7,075 RMB/ton and 7,300 RMB/ton, the mainstream price was around 7,100 RMB/ton. Sales pressure increased.

Market outlook

According to the acrylic acid analysts of SunSirs, the current raw material support is weakening, the downstream buying is insufficient, and the market transactions are limited. It is expected that the acrylic acid market may operate weakly in the short term, and more attention needs to be paid to market news guidance.
