SunSirs: Agricultural Demand Was Off-season, Ammonium Chloride Prices Weakened (August 31-September 4)
September 08 2020 14:06:50SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the market for ammonium chloride weakened this week (8.31-9.4). The price at the beginning of the week was around 637.5 RMB/ton, and the price at the weekend was 630 RMB/ton, an overall decrease of 1.18%.

Analysis review

Although the current operating rate of ammonium chloride enterprises has declined compared with the previous period, the overall operating rate is around 6.5%, but on the one hand, the recent off-season agricultural demand, the low demand for autumn fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer, the winter storage has not yet started, and the demand for ammonium chloride is in a weak situation, the overall shipment speed has declined; On the other hand, with the completion of the maintenance of some Hou Soda enterprises, the operating rate of Hou Soda will rise again in the later period, and the supply pressure will still be large in the later period, and the merchants will be bearish. According to SunSirs, as of September 4, 2020, the price of Henan Jinshan dry ammonium chloride was 620 RMB/ton, and the price of wet ammonium chloride was 560 RMB/ton; the ex-factory price of dry ammonium chloride in Kunshan was 610 RMB/ton, and the ex-factory price of wet ammonium chloride was 540 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

The ammonium chloride analyst of SunSirs believes that on the one hand, the demand for ammonium chloride is off-season, on the other hand, the operating rate of Hou's alkali may increase in the later period. Overall, the market price of ammonium chloride is expected to continue to fall slightly in the short term.
