Price trend

According to data from SunSirs, the price of aniline in Shandong fell this week, and the price in other areas remained stable. On May 22, the price of aniline in Shandong was 4,400-4,490 RMB/ton, and the price of aniline in East China was 4,600-4,820 RMB/ton. This is a 3.6% decrease from last week.

Analysis review

Material: This week, pure benzene prices continued to fluctuate and consolidate. During the week, Sinopec experienced two price hikes of pure benzene, totaling 250 RMB/ton to 3,350 RMB/ton, and the price gap with local refineries narrowed. The increase in the price of pure benzene by Sinopec has provided positive support for the domestic price of pure benzene. But this week, pure benzene negotiations were weak, the spot pure benzene price was lower, and the far-month price rose. This week, pure benzene port stocks rose, and the tanks were tight. The price of pure benzene on May 17 was 3,100-3,600 RMB/ton (average price of 3,310 RMB/ton); this Sunday (May 24) the price of pure benzene was 3,300-3,750 RMB/ton (average price of 3,460 RMB/ton Tons), an increase of 4.53% from last week.

The price of nitric acid was stable this week, and the production price in East China was 1,433.33 RMB/ton.

Product: This week the aniline market stabilized its price in the early stage. On Thursday, the price of Jinling aniline was reduced by 200 RMB/ton. Downstream demand is not high, and the company's shipments are deadlocked.

Market outlook

The center of gravity of crude oil has shifted upwards, and the profitability of pure benzene downstream products is acceptable, which is good for support; It is expected that the pure benzene market will continue to fluctuate in the short term.

Downstream demand has recovered slowly, and aniline is expected to remain weak and stable in the short term.
