SunSirs: Seamless tube rose slightly by 0.73% (5.18-5.22)
May 25 2020 10:35:11SunSirs(Molly)

1. Price trend

According to SunSirs data statistics, the seamless tube market rose slightly this week. At the beginning of the week, the price of 20 #, 108 * 4.5 seamless tubes reported at 4130 yuan / ton, and at the weekend reported 4165 yuan / ton, a slight increase of 0.73% from the beginning of the week and a decrease of 9.64 year-on-year %.

2. Factor analysis

Raw materials: Raw material billets rose this week. Huaigang took the lead in raising the price by 170 yuan / ton, plus 30 yuan / ton in June, cumulatively 200 yuan / ton, Weigang steel by 70 yuan / ton, and 20 # hot-rolled tube billet ex-factory price 3670 yuan / ton, the ex-factory price of 20 # continuous casting is 3570 yuan / ton, it is estimated that Zhongtian and Changqiang will also increase by about 150 / ton yuan.

Pipe factory: The price of seamless pipes in the pipe factory has generally increased by 50-100 yuan / ton this week. After the pipe plant in Linyi area was raised, it was temporarily stabilized until the market digested it. At the same time, it stimulated the speed of the early contract delivery. In addition, the 89/108 series seamless pipes in Linyi area are short of specifications due to the tight supply of billet, which is expected to be relieved in about 5 days.

3. Future market forecast

With the rise of tube billets and tube plants, the seamless tube market rose slightly, but the market demand for transactions was flat. At present, the inventory pressure of the pipe factory is still relatively large, and traders are still more cautious in taking the goods, worrying about the price decline in the later period. It is expected that short-term seamless tube market prices will maintain stability during the two sessions.
