SunSirs: Supply pressure drops, Price of DDGS rises steadily
February 28 2020 09:11:29SunSirs(Molly)

1. Price trend

On February 26, the DDGS commodity index was 73.33, which was the same as yesterday. It was 26.67% lower than the highest point of the cycle at 100.00 points (2014-01-06), and was 35.70% higher than the lowest point on November 04, 2015, 54.04 points. (Note: Period refers to 2014-01-02 to present)

According to the monitoring by SunSirs: DDGS prices rose slightly in the last week of February. As of February 26, the average domestic DDGS market price was 1760 yuan / ton, and the price rose 0.38% from the beginning of the week.

2. Market analysis

Products: At the end of February, the prices of domestic DDGS rose steadily, and some alcohol factories switched to medical alcohol. DDGS supply pressure has eased. Coupled with the continuous recovery of the terminal feed factory, the DDGS market has improved, and the overall stability has stabilized, and some manufacturers have slightly increased. The price of Dongfeng Biochemical DDGS in Jilin area is 1700 yuan / ton, and the price is stable. The price of Heyang alcohol DDGS is 1780 yuan / ton, and the price is up 20 yuan / ton.

Raw corn: The supply of temporary corn has increased, and the supply has increased, which has met the rigid demand for corn to a certain extent. The price of corn purchase by corn deep-processing enterprises has continued to fall. The price of raw corn continues to be weak, to a certain extent, suppressing the DDGS price increase space.

3. Foracast

SunSirs agricultural product analyst Li Bing believes that due to the conversion of some alcohol plants to produce medical alcohol, the pressure on DDGS supply will decrease, and there will be limited room for price drops in the market, or it will continue to maintain stability.
