SunSirs: After the Holiday, the Domestic Phosphate Rock Market Was Temporarily Stable (January 28-February 6)
February 07 2023 11:04:24SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, as of February 6, 2023, the reference average price of 30% grade phosphate rock in China was around 1,056 RMB/ton, which was basically the same as that of January 28, 2023. Compared with June 15, 2022 (the reference price of phosphate rock was 1,043 RMB/ton), the price increased by 13 RMB/ton, or 1.21%.

Analysis review

It can be seen from the data monitoring chart of SunSirs that after the Spring Festival holiday in 2023, the domestic phosphate rock market as a whole temporarily stabilized and operated. The downstream demand of phosphate rock was relatively slow to open, the overall news of the phosphate rock market was relatively calm, and the phosphate rock industry mostly maintained the pre-holiday quotation. As of February 6, 2023, the domestic market price of 30% grade phosphate rock was around 1,030-1,080 RMB/ton, and the price of 28% grade phosphate rock was around 950-980 RMB/ton. The reference price of 32% grade phosphate rock was around 1,150-1,250 RMB/ton. The specific price was also different from the original ore specification and the powder to lump ratio, and the specific price needed to be negotiated on a real basis.

Market outlook

At present, the overall trading atmosphere of the phosphate rock market is relatively quiet. However, with the arrival of the spring planting season, the downstream demand will gradually recover. The phosphate rock statistician of SunSirs believes that in the short term, the domestic phosphate rock market will be mainly stable and stronger, and the specific trend needs to pay more attention to the changes in the supply and demand information.
