The domestic DME market rose steadily this week (1.28-2.3), and the market in Henan continued to rise. According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the average market price of DME in Henan was 4,625 RMB/ton on January 28 and 4,640 RMB/ton on February 3, up 0.32% in the week, and up 22.54% from the same period last year.

Analysis review

This week, the DME market in Henan Province was stable and slightly changed, with some factories pushing up slightly. However, the downstream staged replenishment ended, with few new orders, and the demand follow-up was slow, resulting in increased resistance to push up.

The market price of raw material methanol was shaken down, the downstream demand had not yet fully recovered, the price of methanol began to fall, and the cost support for DME weakened.

Market outlook

In general, DME factories were willing to support high price, cost support was weakened, and downstream demand needed to be improved. The DME market is expected to consolidate in the future under the combination of long and short factors.
