Last week, ex-factory price of SBR of PetroChina and Sinopec increased by 300 RMB/ton. According to the monitoring of the SunSirs, as of January 13, the ex-factory price of Jihua SBR 1502 of PetroChina Northeast Sales Company was 11,000 RMB/ton. Last week, the raw material price of SBR rose, supported by the cost, and the ex-factory price supported the price increase of some businesses. Some businesses have closed their orders near the Spring Festival, and the overall SBR market fluctuated slightly. As of the 13th, the mainstream offer of SBR 1502 was 10,800-11,300 RMB/ton.

Last week (1.6-1.13), the price of raw materials butadiene and styrene rose, and the cost of styrene butadiene rubber rose as a whole. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of January 13, the price of butadiene was 8,041 RMB/ton, up 3.29% from 7,785 RMB/ton on the previous Friday; As of January 13, the price of styrene was 8,437 RMB/ton, up 2.46% from 8,141 RMB/ton on the previous Friday.

The natural rubber market rose slightly last week (1.6-1.13), which supported SBR. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the price of natural rubber was 12,460 RMB/ton as of January 13, up 0.40% from 12,410 RMB/ton on the previous Friday.

As the Spring Festival approaches, the downstream tire enterprises started to lower slightly, and the inquiries for styrene-butadiene rubber decreased, and the demand support weakened.

SunSirs analysts believe that the cost side is up, the downstream starts are slightly lower, and the supply side is basically stable. It is expected that the price of SBR will fluctuate in a narrow range before the Spring Festival in China.
