According to the statistics of SunSirs, the seamless tube had a stable trend this week. As of the weekend, the price of 20#, 108 * 4.5 seamless tubes was 4,962.5 RMB/ton, unchanged from the beginning of the week, and down 14.88% year on year.

Analysis review

The national inventory decreased by 14,000 tons to 682,000 tons. The operating rate of national seamless tube plants was 50.28%, with a decrease of 0.5% on a weekly basis.

In December, due to the liberalization of the epidemic situation in China, the heat of steel in the early and middle of December had obviously rebounded, the supply and demand of seamless tubes were booming, and the price had also shown an upward trend. But the good times were not long. With the outbreak of the number of people infected with the virus in the society, the market demand dropper to the freezing point, and the supply of the tube factory also weakened. In the late December, the market has already shown a state of weak supply and demand and having price but no buyers.

Market outlook

In January, the market is about to enter the Spring Festival market, and demand will inevitably show a downward trend. The current inventory level of merchants is not high, and it is expected that the market price of seamless tube will be stable in the near future.
