According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic MDI market declined by a narrow margin. From January 3 to 6, the domestic MDI market price fell from 15,180 RMB/ton to 15,040 RMB/ton, with a decline of 0.92% in the week, up 5.03% month on month and down 27.34% year on year.
Analysis review
The traders were willing to make shipments and were willing to make profits-cutting for shipments. Downstream customers were gradually entering the holiday mode, and some insulation industries would have holidays next week; The recent export orders of the ice cold industry were not so good, and the domestic demand had not yet started, so the overall promotion was relatively slow. The overall consumption capacity of the downstream was limited, and the market follow-up was mainly weak.
On the supply side, delivery was slow before the Spring Festival. Under the condition of limited overall consumption capacity, the operating load of major production enterprises did not change much in the short term, which made it difficult to adjust the current imbalance, and the atmosphere of weak supply was more prominent.
On the cost side, the raw material pure benzene: the market for pure benzene was strong. On January 6, the benchmark price of pure benzene in SunSirs was 6,842.17 RMB/ton, up 4.75% compared with that of January 1 (6,532.17 RMB/ton). Raw material aniline: The aniline market was weak. On January 6, the benchmark price of aniline in SunSirs was 9,583.33 RMB/ton, a decrease of -7.74% compared with that of January 1 (10,387.50 RMB/ton). The cost of cyclohexanone was mixed.
On the demand side, the performance of the downstream industry as a whole was relatively ordinary, and the terminals had entered the holiday mode successively, so the overall support capacity was limited.
